Assistant Professor

Dr. Sanjaya Kumar Lenka is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the School of Social, Financial & Human Sciences, KIIT (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, M.A. in Economics from Fakir Mohan University, and M.Phil. in Economics from North Orissa University. He has specialized in Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, Public Finance, Development Economics, Research Methods, and Applied Econometrics. His research interest primarily lies in Financial Inclusion, Financial Technology, Digital Finance, Energy Finance, Green Growth, Green FDI, Human Development, etc. Before joining KIIT, Dr. Lenka has experience working with several teaching and research organizations in different capacities. Before joining his Ph.D., he also gained experience as a Research Analyst at the Institute of Economic Growth (IEG) and National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi. After his Ph.D. tenure, he worked as Policy Analyst at CUTS International (A Global Economic Policy Think Tank), Jaipur. Moreover, he started his teaching job at DIT University, Dehradun, as an Assistant Professor. He also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. Dr. Lenka has been working as an Editorial member of SN Business & Economics (Springer). Also, he is an external advisor of doctoral dissertations in Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS), Hyderabad. He has also been actively involved in many conferences and seminars activities. He has presented a research paper at Global Development Finance Conference hosted by the Africa Growth Institute in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Development Finance, South Africa, in Dubai and also delivered presentations at IIT Kharagpur, XLRI-Jamshedpur, University of Hyderabad, Madurai Kamaraj University, Symbiosis International University, etc.
