Prasanta Patri
Assistant Professor
Dr. Prasanta Patri is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the School of Economics and Commerce , Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, India. He holds a Ph.D. from IIT Indore, MPhil in Economics and MA in Applied Economics from Ravenshaw University and Pondicherry University respectively. His research interest includes Climate Change Economics, Disaster Management Environmental Economics, Econometrics, Health and Sanitation. He has much prior research and teaching experience at various MHRD & state institutions, namely, IIM Bangalore, IIM Indore, NIT Rourkela, PJ Group of Intuitions, Bhubaneswar, and Kushagra Institute Cuttack. He is the recipient of Climate Reporting Fellowship, YKA, India and has contributed as Climate Reporting Fellow. He has published his research works in international peer-reviewed journals, with SCOPUS and ABDC-A index journals namely, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction (Elsevier), Mental Health and Social Inclusion (Emerald), Pragati: Journal of Indian Economy, Routledge etc. He has successfully completed two Research projects under various research positions. Some of the successful projects come under Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, Directorate General of Sea Shipping, Govt. of India projects etc. He has also been actively involved in international and national conferences and seminars. He has presented at four international ones, the 20th International Conference of the Japan Economic Policy Association (JEPA2021), hosted by the University of Tokyo, Japan, INSEE-IIITD International conference 2021 hosted by Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, New Delhi and two days international conference on Growth and resilience and sustainability in an uncertain world hosted by Central University of Rajsthan.
