Pinaki Nandan Pattnaik

Associate Professor

As a career academician, Pinaki joined the profession in 2005 at Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology in Canada. Upon his return to India in 2007, he joined KIIT Law School, KIIT University in the year of its inception and made attempts to establish it along with a team of highly motivated as well as committed faculty. In 2009, he became one of the founding faculties of National Law University Odisha and joined NALSAR in 2013. In 2022, he joined KIIT University and continued his journey in academics and research. Over the past decade, he has taught subjects like Marketing, Innovation Management, Lean Business Models etc. with a focus on developing industry relevant skills in the learners. He has studied at globally reputed and ranked universities (at Europe and Canada) as well as taught abroad (in Canada) wherein he experienced international education standards from the perspectives of a learner as well as an instructor. His research interest in the field of Academic entrepreneurship and university spinoffs adds to my core areas like marketing as well as academic innovations. He has published two books and several research articles in peer reviewed national as well as international journals indexed by SCOPUS. Through my paper titled, ‘University Spinoffs: What, Why and How?’, he proposed a model for successful creation of such ventures resulting in several global citations. Similarly, he actively participates in research & consulting projects and has successfully completed (as principal investigator and co-investigator) funded research projects from national (Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & the State Governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) & International (Game Credits, an e-sports company from Serbia) funders.
