Junmoni Borgohain

Assistant Professor

Junmoni holds a bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology and a Master's in Psychology both from the University of Delhi. After that, she completed her Master of Science from IIT Kharagpur and currently pursuing her Ph.D. there. In her Ph.D. tenure, she has also worked as a Project Assistant in two government projects, Developing happiness scales for Madhya Pradesh and New Town, Kolkata. She also has done Teaching Assistantships for NPTEL MOOC courses like Soft Skills Development and Science of Happiness and Well-being. Her research centers around music and psychology, emphasizing affective and neuro-cognitive responses to music using audience response and neuropsychological tools like electroencephalogram (EEG). She has attended many conferences at national and international levels and published multiple book chapters and papers at National and International journals. Her research interest lies in the areas of Psycho-musicology, Computational musicology, Intermedial translation between Music and Visuals, and Happiness and Well-being.
