Dr. Girija Shankar Panigrahi is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Social, Financial, and Human Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University. He has pursued his Ph.D. in Positive Psychology from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, M.Phil degree in Clinical Psychology from the LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health, Tezpur, Assam. He has been awarded as Best Arts Graduate from Fakir Mohan Autonomous College, Balasore, Odisha. His research paper has been published in leading international journals such as the International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction and Current Psychology. He actively participated in various international, national, and state-level seminars, conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs.

He is a Professional Clinical Psychologist certified by the Rehabilitation Council of India. He has 6 to 7 years of practical clinical experience in mental health institutions, Government hospitals, and non-government organizations. He has teaching experience from VIT-AP School of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is a Professional Life Member of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychology, India. Moreover, his area of specialization revolves around Clinical Psychology, Positive Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Disaster Resilience, Post-traumatic Growth, and Science of Happiness.
